Alex McGuire never dreamed his life would take such a turn. As if that isn't enough, a complete stranger has stated he is to marry her and raise her son as his own. All on the order of her dead husband, David.
Davy Kyle is tickled pink that Alex McGuire will be his dad and can't wait for his mother to wake from the coma so the wedding can take place. What Davy doesn't see is trouble in the form of PRI, otherwise known as the Percival Research Institute. PRI agents are after his family and it is going to be up to Davy to hide them all until it is safe.
Together, Alex, Jennifer, Davy, and their friends from Paradise Valley must join together to keep the family safe, destroy PRI, and protect the still comatose Colin O'Brien the last member of their Paradise Valley family. With the help of student nurse Deana Cook they may just succeed in their plan and find happiness along the way.

F of M Awakening is fast paced and well thought out. While different from a lot of the YA books that I've read, Ms. Jordynn expertly pulled me in from the start and made me care about Alex, Jennifer and Davy. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Awakening is the second book of The Forest of The Mist series and I absolutely loved it! I read many paranormal books and this one stands out not only because of its unique settings and plot, but also because of its connectable and well developed characters.
Jennifer is in a coma...and wakes to find her life very much different from before her accident...great plot!
Alex is awaiting Jennifer's awakening...with knowledge he will marry her and raise her young son who has many abilities, known and unknown within the realms of the paranormal...will Jennifer accept her planned destiny as Alex's wife???...great tension and suspense!
Davy is Jennifer's child and son of David who passed away. David's soul supports Alex's position of his wife's future husband and son's father figure. Davy is intelligent, seems to know things others don't, can move from one realm to another, and ages at an incredible speed during his 'travels' between realms....twisting and turning moments making page turning a must well into the night!
I don't want to reveal anymore because this book is a great read and one of my favorites in the YA genre. Can't wait for the next book in this series!
